My Own Personal
Experience:
- I’m currently a student in an applied study titled “Storytellers”. We are learning about the importance and history of oral storytelling, and after a month of training, we will be entering into local elementary schools and telling stories to children. I’m fascinated with how children and youth use narratives to express themselves, whether that be through books, oral storytelling, or even digital storytelling.
- I used my imagination as a creative tool when I was a child and teenager to deal with emotional issues that I was facing. I loved to read, and loved to write my own stories. My characters often faced similar issues that I was facing in real life, yet writing my story through someone else allowed me to cope/deal/face/work through personal issues.
